Join our residential new monastic community in Leicester for a year of personal formation.
Our year of formation has three core elements: Study, Community Life, and the Spiritual Journey.
STUDY
Our curriculum aims to equip members to…
… grow through personal development tools (Myers Briggs & Enneagram)
… dialogue with new and old monastic practitioners
… apply Scripture & theology to their everyday, ordinary life
Myers-Briggs has helped me understand why I react to situations in certain ways – Novice, Isaac
I have learned from our monastic friends that it’s important to remind myself why I’ve said ‘yes’ to God – Sophie
COMMUNITY LIFE
Living together in community provides a fertile space to…
…practice the art of listening and become a reconciler
…learn to discern God’s presence in the everyday
…to discover and develop personal gifting
I have learned that purposeful, active listening is the best way to build community – Novice, Allison
Prayer walking has heightened my awareness of God’s presence in the people and places around me – Novice, Isaac
SPIRITUAL JOURNEY
We give significant space and time to…
…explore and deepen contemplative prayer practices
…allow vulnerability to be transformative
…discern God’s desire for our lives
I have been encouraged to try different forms of prayer. It’s great to be in a place where you’re reminded and encouraged to pray, and where you are inspired by how others do it – Novice, Sophie
The opportunity to be around others called to serve God has helped me to further discern my own calling – Novice, Allison
