Alan & Lesley leave for Launde

Alan and Lesley Humphrey are moving on this summer. Alan has been appointed as Voluntary Chaplain at Launde Abbey. He and Lesley will move to take up residence there during August.

Alan and Lesley joined the team in April 2018 and played a pivotal role in the early days of establishing the Community and in the set-up of the Community House.

In his role as Warden Alan has overseen operations, cared for our building (with all its quirks!) and taken a key role in the leadership of the residential community. In her role as House Manager Lesley has welcomed residents and guests alike, ensured that provisions were always plentiful and offered care and support to all.

Whilst we are very sad to see them go, and will miss them hugely, we send them on to Launde with our love and prayers – we know they will be a wonderful gift to the life of the Abbey, and we are immensely grateful for all they have given to the Community.
