St Francis’ Garden

A couple of weeks ago, the residents planted the first seeds in our Community garden as part of their weekly worship. Catch a snippet of what they got up to HERE. We’re already starting to see some small shoots appearing.

We’re so excited to finally have our own green space and outdoor chapel! We have called the garden St Francis’ Garden, after St Francis of Assisi whose order of Franciscan grey friars lived on this plot of land nearly 500 years ago. One of our Companions, Trisha, is working on some fused glass features for our garden, which reflect the monastic history of our Community. We’re very grateful to her for offering her creativity and time to help us with the project. Keep a look out for more garden updates!
